March 15th marks our 14th year of making the world a brighter place through flowers. The vast number of celebrations, happy and even at times sad that our customers have allowed us to be a part of is humbling, and we are so grateful. Thanks for the memories and we hope to be invited to continue to play our role through flowers in all of the coming celebrations in your lives.

While I don't detest winter, it's definitely my least favorite season of then year. I try to make the best of what it has to offer. I enjoy Snow-shoeing when there's enough snow for it, and there is a lot to be said for curling up by the fire on a cold winter night. I'm lucky though that I spend my days in a bright, colorful flower shop. The bottom line is that I can tolerate winter if it can look like these beautiful spring flowers.

In our hectic day to day schedules we so seldom sit down with our families or friends and truly share a meal anymore. Thanksgiving is gratefully still one of those times that we do, some at the table may even dress for the occasion (though probably not the teens). Amid all of the preparations don't forget the flowers because they are every bit a part of the bounty as the food that we celebrate on Thanksgiving. We have lots of beautiful flowers, twigs, & berries on hand this week to help dress the table for the feast. Check out our ideas in the "shop' section of the site or call us with your special request

Congratulations to Meg & Clint on their beautiful wedding this past weekend at Mount Hope Farm in Bristol. We really enjoyed creating the flower arrangements for their big day. The purple, white & green pallette that they chose were perfect for this outdoor waterside setting. To see more photos of their flowers go to our wedding gallery.

I’ve been accused once or twice of being the sort of person who would grow their own wheat for baking bread. “Uh, yeah so, whats wrong with that?” Well on that note, we don’t just use David Austin English Garden Roses in our summer arrangements, we actually grow them first. It doesn’t get any fresher or more local than that. These beauties are paired with fragrant mint & Veronica.

I’ve been looking around this week for signs of what’s happening in floral trends. You don’t have to be an oracle to spot this one, because almost exclusively what I’m seeing is vessels filled with one type of flower in one color…simple. This is definitely not a new look but I haven’t seen it used across the board like this until now. One of the interesting things about the trend is that the results still have a wide range.
